Important Border Crossing Info

For those using the Spokane route, your journey will take you across the Canada-USA border, which means you’ll need to be extra prepared. All passengers must be legally eligible to cross the Canada-USA border and carry the required documents. You can find more information on entry to the USA here and entry to Canada here.

  • Carry your passport and any relevant visa documentation
  • Ensure any criminal records will not impact acceptance, e.g. a DUI- Understand what items are prohibited
What to Expect at the Border
  • The border can cause delays of 1-3 hours - be sure to bring enough snacks and water.
  • All passengers must exit the bus for inspection
  • Sniffer dogs will search the bus and luggage

If you are denied entry at the border, our shuttle partner Kootenay Charters will return you to the nearest town. From Paterson border, this is Northport, Washington (northbound) or Rossland, BC (southbound). All fares will be forfeited and you will be responsible for any costs associated with your return home and travel to Spokane.

Arriving at the Festival

On arrival, you will be guided to the Shambhala Customer Service check-in to collect your credentials. Shuttle vehicles receive priority access when entering the farm, helping you get to the fun faster. However, please note that due to the high volume of shuttle arrivals, there will still be check-in and security lines to go through before entering the festival grounds.Reminder: Early entry is not included in the cost of your shuttle ticket.

Getting to your campsite:

The festival is a sprawling network of campgrounds, and like all guests - whether you arrive by shuttle or by car - you’ll need to carry your belongings to your chosen campsite. This can be challenging depending on the size and weight of your gear. We do have an onsite yellow bus which loops to and from campground borders throughout the day.

Shambhala Shuttles FAQs

Here, you’ll find answers to common questions about our shuttle service so you can be prepared.

Can I cancel my shuttle?

We completely understand that plans can change, however, unfortunately shuttle tickets are non-refundable as stated in our terms and conditions. Ticket transfers are available.

Can I transfer my shuttle ticket?

If you’d like to pass your ticket on to someone else, you can do so through the ticket portal by June 30th, 2026. Any transfer arrangements (including the transfer of funds) would need to be handled at your discretion. If you wish to transfer a ticket after this date, please reach out to sales@shambhalamusicfestival.com. For a helpful video tutorial on how to transfer your tickets in the portal, please watch here.

How does boarding work?

Your shuttle ticket is automatically linked to your account in the ticket portal. The driver will have a passenger list and will check your ID against it. Please ensure your shuttle ticket is in your own name. If someone else purchased it for you, transfer the ticket into your name through the portal before boarding, or you won’t be able to ride.

How much luggage can I bring?

Each passenger can bring a 23kg bag and a carry-on suitcase to be stored under the bus. You may also bring a small personal item to travel with you on the bus. No oversized items are permitted (e.g. mattresses, bikes, scooters). Please pack mindfully – space is tight and fragile items are your responsibility - we can’t guarantee their safety in transit. Review our packing list & banned items here.

What if there are shuttle delays and I miss my onward travel plans?

We do our very best to get everyone from the Farm to their destination smoothly, but there are many unpredictable factors that can impact shuttle departure and arrival times. We recommend you book your onward travel arrangements no earlier than 24 hours after expected arrival.

Will there be toilets/rest stops?

Most of the time there is a toilet on the bus. Please be respectful and keep bathrooms tidy. There will also be rest stops built into the schedules.
