Through the clouds of smoke, we are summoned by the deep pulsating bass from the man himself, Substance. Marc is an experienced producer who brings his distinct sound world wide all the way from Sherbrooke, QC Canada.In the booth, his deep and dark sound have been an essential part of the Canadian Underground Bass Music for almost a decade, garnering support from some of the dubstep industries biggest names and labels across the world. Substance also had a major hand in the growth of the deep dubstep community back home through his co-founded company DirtyCake which has hosted some of Canada’s and beyond finest Producer’s & DJ’s since 2012. He is not only setting the trail ablaze, he aims to bring others up with him in the bass community. Co-founder of the famous Gunfingaz Thursdays Twitch stream with Wraz, he always brings a massive set full of spicy blends every week. Producing for over 10 years, he has released some lethal beats on Sentry Records, Deep Dark & Dangerous & Duploc. His collaborations with legends such as Youngsta, Abstrakt Sonance and a remix from Pushloop are still going hard in sets around the globe. Wraz is a Canadian producer & DJ from the Montreal area. His sound goes into the deep & dark side of Dubstep, Grime, Drum & Bass and Halftime, with fat analog synths, mythical melodies and unstoppable flow on the drums. With releases on DEEP MEDi, Deadbeats, Deep Dark & Dangerous, Artikal Music, 4NCY/Darkmode, Duploc, and other labels across the globe, his unique sound really stands out, being in perfect harmony with the sound system. Get ready for some heat! Wraz has been making a lot of waves all over North-America recently, playing in festivals such as Shambhala Music Festival (CA), Lightning in a Bottle (US), Infrasound Music Festival (US), Sound Haven (US) and playing shows in many cities all over the continent (Los Angeles, Denver, Minneapolis, Miami, New York, Montreal, Chicago, Toronto, etc.). The 29yo producer has a lot more shows planned all over the US and Canada in the upcoming months - sharing the stage with amazing artists such as Zeds Dead, Caspa, Truth, Ganja White Night, and other staples in the scene, you will see Wraz pop up more and more on the flyers. His collaborations with many UK rappers and MCs (PAV4N, Strategy, Snowy, Magugu, Illaman, Fugzii) shows the link between his style and the UK dubstep/140 scene, making a perfect blend between his music and all these amazing artists. His debut in the UK was also a success with shows in London and Bristol. The international DJ just now started a supergroup alongside Hypho, Strategy & PAV4N - called F1GURES. They are working on a ton of new music and Have their debut shows coming up in Vancouver & Victoria (BC). ​​ Wraz has not only been very active on the web by releasing music (singles, EPs and one full album), but also by doing a lot of livestreams. He has a weekly show on Twitch called Gunfingaz Thursdays alongside Substance where they receive a ton of support, having formed a great community from all around the world. They also invite top tier producers & Djs to come play every week with them (some of the past guests : Ternion Sound, The Widdler, Infekt, Distinct Motive, Mesck & Woven Thorns, & more). During COVID, he also participated at 4 of the legendary Deep Dark & Dangerous Quarantine Sessions, with over 2.6k live viewers during his sets. ​ The Canadian producer started making music full-time in 2012, when he started studying music at college (jazz drum and classical piano), then university (composition), and he has now finished his master’s degree (conducting). While always exploring new techniques of sound design and arrangement, he developed a very unique sound that can be heard throughout his whole catalog. ​ Stay tuned for what’s to come with Wraz!
