Gary Richards, known by his stage name Destructo, is an American music executive, concert promoter, and DJ. As of September 1, 2017, he is the President of LiveStyle, North America. Prior to joining LiveStyle, he was the founder and CEO of HARD Events, a concert brand that has put on popular music festivals since 2007, which was acquired in 2012 by Live Nation Entertainment. He has performed professionally as a DJ under the name Destructo for over 20 years, having toured worldwide. He is credited with being a leader in the electronic music genre in North America and with helping to bring artists like Deadmau5 and Justice into the mainstream. Richards is included on Rolling Stone's "50 Most Important People in EDM" list, Billboard's "EDM Power Players" lists from 2014–2017, and inthemix's list of the "50 Most Powerful People in EDM". As Destructo, he has released four EP's titled Technology, Higher, West Coast, and RENEGADE respectively. In 2013 after winning Insomniac’s Discovery Project Contest, Tony Fresch launched the Dr. Fresch project. His debut self-titled EP and innovative hip-hop/rap remixes quickly exploded in the blogosphere. Dr. Fresch’s music weaves together elements of house, hip-hop/rap, and midtempo to create a unique, forward-thinking sound. Over the summer of 2015, Dr. Fresch launched his semi-monthly mix series “House Call” which has since garnered tens of millions of plays. The Dr. Fresch brand has continued to grow with the launch of his record label “House Call Records.” Dr. Fresch plays a prominent role on the festival circuit with plays at likes EDC Las Vegas, Paradiso, Moonrise, Electric Forest, CRSSD, Splash House, Osheaga, Shambhala and more.
