FAQS - Shambhala Pre-Party
What is included with my Shambhala Pre-Party General Admission ticket?
All tickets are General Admission (GA) and grant access to the Salmo River Ranch Campground (Riverside) from 10:00 AM (PST) on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 until Sunday, June 30th, 2024 at 12:00 PM. Music is 4:00 PM Saturday to 3:00 AM Sunday.

Riverside - General Camping: Riverside Campground General Camping is included in the price of your ticket and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that once you have your ticket, you can camp in the general camping area without any additional costs, but spaces are allocated based on who arrives first. It is advisable to arrive early to secure your spot. The general camping area features a mix of campground sites and open camping (similar to the SMF format).
What are the directions? Which entrance do I use to access the Pre-Party zone?
Pre-Party guests can enter the farm via the bridge road. The sign-posted address of the turn-off is 8532 Highway 3, Salmo BC. You can also use these custom instructions from Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/2UEqtEAZueXjAov39
Once you turn off the highway, follow the road on the left that goes along the river (that's where you'll hit the Shambhala bridge).
May I stay an additional night on the farm before or after the party?
The campground will not be open prior to Saturday, June 29th at 10:00 AM. Guests will be permitted to stay an additional night on Sunday, June 30th, free of charge, to ensure they are well-rested and sober prior to travelling home. Quiet hours will be in effect on Sunday night and all guests must be off the property by noon on Monday. If you would like to extend your stay in the Kootenay region, we encourage you to explore other local options.
How big is this event going to be?
The Shambhala Music Festival Pre-Party is a one-night event offering a scaled-back, intimate experience, reminiscent of our main festival. The event will be smaller than our 2021 Stage Reunion Events, and there will be no access available to the Shambhala Music Festival stages or Downtown zones.
Where can I camp?
Riverside Campground General Camping is included in the price of your ticket and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Can I transfer my Pre-Party ticket?
Yes, you will be able to transfer your Pre-Party Ticket using the Online User Portal 🌈 You will need to log in using the e-mail address associated with your order. If it’s your first time accessing your order online, you will need to create a password by clicking “Reset or Create Password.” You can easily transfer some or all of the items on your order by clicking the “Start a Transfer" button in your User Portal. This will prompt you to fill in the new individual’s legal name, email address and phone number. Please carefully review the items you are transferring before completing the transfer. Will attendees get to access all of the Shambhala Music Festival grounds?
The Official Pre-Party will be held in the Riverside Campground. Access to Downtown Shambhala and the 6 Stages is strictly prohibited during the Pre-Party. Please respect these rules as our stage crews will be hard at work preparing for the 25th Anniversary. Thank you for your understanding.
Will there be a new Riverside Stage?
Exciting news! We're thrilled to announce that our upcoming music event will be held at a brand-new temporary stage nestled within the picturesque Riverside Campground. Get ready to experience the rhythm and vibes in a fresh, enchanting setting. Currently, there are no plans to operate this stage during Shambhala Music Festival, so be sure to get your Pre-Party ticket to enjoy this unique experience.
Do we need to buy a pre-party ticket if we already have a festival ticket?
The Pre-Party is a separate event taking place in June 2024 and requires its own ticket. Pre-Party tickets can be purchased here. Shambhala Music Festival is taking place in July and is sold out.
Do you need any volunteers for the pre-party?
Thanks for your interest in joining the Special Events volunteer team! A volunteer application form will be available soon. Stay tuned to the Facebook Event Page and the Shambhala social media and e-newsletter for more information when the application form goes live.
Pre-Party Lodging Packages
Enhance your experience at the Official Pre-Party in Riverside with a convenient Lodging package. Each package has its own unique features and requirements - please read below and find the package that suits your needs.
Riverside - Glamping
Package Price: $250 CAD
Tucked away in the Riverside Lodging Zone, adjacent to the front gate. The Riverside Glamping package offers the perfect blend of space and comfort. These powered 5-metre diameter bell tents are made of highly breathable natural cotton canvas and are designed for use by 2 people max. The package includes 15 amps of power, 1 queen-size bed and all the upgrades: bedding (pillows, sheets and comforters), water jug, 45L cooler, and 2 lawn chairs.
*1 vehicle included. Additional vehicles must be parked in Free Parking.
*Please note, Pre-Party General Admission are NOT included in lodging packages! Ensure you purchase your Pre-Party General Admission before they sell out. Campsites are not directly on the river, however, all sites are a short walk from the Riverside beach.
Riverside - RV
Package Price: $100 CAD
Tucked away in the Riverside Lodging Zone, adjacent to the front gate. Riverside RV offers a spacious campsite 40' X 20', with 30 amps of power. These campsites offer plenty of room for your RV / trailer, friends' tents, and campsite furniture.
*1 vehicle included, however, the site can accommodate up to 8 people. Additional vehicles must be parked in Free Parking.
*Please note, Pre-Party General Admission is NOT included in lodging packages! Ensure you purchase your Pre-Party General Admission before they sell out. Campsites are not directly on the river, however, all sites are a short walk from the Riverside beach.
Riverside - Yurt
Price: $300 CAD
The Riverside Yurt boasts 19 square meters of living space. It includes 2 queen size beds with all the upgrades: bedding (pillows, sheets and comforters), water jug, 45L cooler, and 4 lawn chairs.
*The site can accommodate up to 4 people max. Parking for 1 vehicle at the Yurt site; additional vehicles must be parked in Free Parking.
