Dan, our Shambhalodging dude, answers your question:
“Basically tell them it’s a 10 by 12 foot canvas style wall tent.. About seven feet tall, with two windows on each side. Front zippered door, with a pitched style roof.”

it looks like the shambhalodging is a much father walk then the rest of the camping is there shuttles or whats the walk time from shambhalodging to the downtown area?

      Hey Jarek,

It’s actually a pretty short walk to the downtown area from ShambhaLodging. There are two exits from either side of ShambhaLodging. If you leave via the exit closest to the party, it’s around a 2 minute walk tops. From the other exit (closest to the ShambhaLodging parking lot) it is about a 5 minute walk.

can more then one of my friends stay with me at my shamlodging campsite as long as we all have festival tickets? or is there a limit

There is a limit of two people per campsite within the ShambhaLodging zone. Your additional friends would be required to purchase an additional ShambhaLodging site.

A few friends and I have a ways to travel and want to rent an RV just to make the trip easier and more comfortable. From what im reading, RV’s are not allowed. Is this true?

      Hi Peter,

This is a question we get quite often. Our existing ShambhaLodging zone cannot accommodate RVs or trailers, but we are exploring potential options in regards to what we may be able to offer to lodgers looking for potential RV spots and utility hookups. This presents a logistical challenge to us, so I can’t confirm specifics, but will let you know that we’re trying to put together a test product for this year. I would suggest that you follow the ShambhaLodging Facebook group at If we have any details about premier RV sites we will likely communicate them there first.

As it currently stands though, our only RV camping option is to purchase a decal for Starlight or Sunshine upon your arrival and camp in one of these designated zones.

Sorry if this was answered somewhere on the site, I haven’t been able to find it. Someone told me there is an option to camp with your vehicle. Is this true? And, what would the cost be to do this? Thanks a lot.

      Hey Mitchell,

You are able to camp with your vehicle in either the Sunshine or Starlight zones. Starlight fills up very quickly so if you want a spot in Starlight, you will need to be among the first people coming through the gate. There is always a lot of room in our Sunshine zone though throughout the entire weekend.

Vehicle decals are only available for purchase on-site once you arrive. Although parking pricing hasn’t been confirmed for 2015, I can’t foresee it changing much, if at all, from our 2014 prices. Our pricing in 2014 was $40 for a Starlight decal ($80 for a RV, trailer, or oversize vehicle), or $20 for a Sunshine decal ($40 for a RV, trailer, or other oversize vehicle). Decals are good for the entire weekend.

More information regarding parking and camping can be found at:

      Thanks for the question.

    Hi guys!

I’m planning to purchase either a campsite or a tent through Shambhalodging, and I have a question about early entry. I’m going to be driving in with 3 other people who are going to be camping somewhere in the meta camping (assuming there’s still room). Will those of us without shambhaloding be able to get in early with us? If not, will none of us in the car be able to take advantage of the express lane?

      Hi Vern,

Shambha-abled camping is reserved for our guests that wish to attend the festival and have a physical disability which makes it challenging to get around the farm. If you are interested in receiving more information, you can contact our ticket administrator at
