Sijay James covers all the bases. He is a DJ/VJ/ audio producer and graphic designer and brings all of these elements to his multimedia sets. He runs Onbeyond, a new media design company which specializes in creative music culture. Chances are, if you live in Nelson, that you've seen his posters for the PRIDE and BASSBIZNIZ shows. He's worked extensively with many artists in the electronic dance music community and his clients include, Interchill records, Adham Shaikh, Native State Records, the Funginears and Shen, amongst many others. He has performed all over the world as a DJ and VJ and has spent the last year and a half honing his skills in Nelson BC. As one third of the now mysterious and mystical COZ&FX with kootenay legends craig mullin and naasko wripple, he tips his hat deeply to the inspiration of these two, all of them sharing a deep love for music, visuals and culture and family. Being the message involves becoming a medium. Sijay is a conduit for multifaceted creative outflow. He encourages active participation and brings a graphic sensibility to everything he creates.

www.onbeyondmetamedia.com), will be doing a number of VJ sets in both the labyrinth and the beach stage. Most notably Adham Shaikh's performance of "Universal Frequencies", which has received great reviews from Victoria, Hornby, Nanaimo, Calgary Vernon and Nelson.
No stranger to the early morning beach stage slots, Sijay and Niki will be presenting their sunrise project SYRINXSOUND. As a DJ and producer, Sijay plays unique music. His undefinable sound of minimal downtempo might be described as sunrise bass hop or sleepstep. With a deep appreciation for heavy bass and womp mixed with unweighted freefloating sensibility, this music invokes the waking dreamstate. His special guest selectress is Niki, who has spent the better part of the last 3 years acting as a music reviewer and R&D rep for soundtrax music services. She's definitely got music you haven't heard before. The last third of this set will be original productions from NETO's Album "AQUATIKON".
