tha Funk Junkie always knew that there was something missing in his life, but had yet to uncover it. After a life-changing trip around the globe in 2004, he realized that his love for new music and his passion to share it was exactly what was going to fill the gap. Upon his return home to Calgary he began learning how to DJ, taking lessons from local legend and Shambhala veteran DJ Jon Delerious. It was then he began carving his craft, and finding his style.

Today, his sets are crammed full of energy and enthusiasm, with each set as unique as the last. Never restricting himself by genre his musical tastes range from funky house to drum & bass and everywhere in between. His style can only be described as a funkin groovin’, melodic, bassfull good time! After making his first appearances at festivals such as Shambhala, Burning Man, and Motion Notion in 2010, he has shared the stage with greats such as Nero, Bassnectar, DubFX, and the Crystal Method, and has since been capturing crowds attentions across North America. His song selection is sure to bring anyone to their feet and keep the dance-floor packed.
