In 1998, inspired by his beautiful Kootenay Lake view and serene surroundings, el Jimador began what was to become a lifetime love affair with DJing and electronic music. Spending many a night designing mixes and honing skills as a closet DJ, he built up his arsenal of tricks and techniques. 4 years later, he broke onto the scene, rocking party dancefloors across the area with a combination of house, breaks, hip hop, mashups, and more…

Since then, el Jimador was born, and with the name came the recognition deserved of this dedicated and talented DJ. Always playing to the crowd, his mixes have ranged from house and minimal techno through to hip hop and lounge, drum n bass, breaks, and everything in between. el Jimador is always guaranteed to keep it funky and provide a variety of styles within the mix and is known to always throw down the right tracks at the right time…
