Formed in 1997 by brothers Ben and Matt Reeder, and joined soon after by Jonathon Aiello, BentMatter emerged as pioneers in live video performance in Vancouver’s electronic music scene.

BentMatter has amassed a vast library of original video content filmed at locations around the globe, or at their green screen studio, “Open Studios”, which is also Vancouver’s hottest late night audio visual club. BentMatter continues to evolve and grow, recent projects include video mapping installations at Open Studios, and several installations at clubs around the city.

They have also brought their colourful and complex style of visuals to many festivals including: Shambhala Music Festival, Soundwave Music Festival, New Forms Festival, Summer Love, Winter Love, Pemberton Music Festival, Winter Olympics 2010, Code Live, Sonar Festival in Barcelona , Pop-Com Festival in Berlin, Watergate nightclub in Berlin, and have performed alongside artists such as Richie Hawtin, Mathew Jonson, Cobblestone Jazz, Konrad Black, Mike Shannon, Team Canada, The Mole, Stanton Warriors, Bassnectar, Skrillex, DJ Icey, Mark Farina, A Skills, Freak Nasty, Mimosa, ill gates and many more.
